Spent some time at my sisters today, taking care of Connor to give her time to rest her finger. It’s how I deal with times of trouble or sickness or hurt. I do whatever I can to help others – it sounds good and it is, but it is also selfish. It helps me hide from that hurt and keep busy and not think about the emotion.
I’m partway through this book and it speaks a lot about the kind of masks we wear to hide. It really has made me think and examine myself. I do hide behind doing sometimes. I’m not sure what that means, but I’ve still got half the book to read.
Connor picked us some dandelions!
