48 tiny boxes waiting for cookies. Our church cookie swap is tomorrow and I had this insane idea to make little boxes for each cookie. I imagined the cookie nestled in white paper and tied with a pretty piece of ribbon or twine. I know it’s ridiculous to spend this much time on it, but sometimes when I get an idea, I just have to do it!
Meanwhile, my cookies ended up being a fail, turned into a winner! I tried making spiced chocolate shortbread stars, but the shortbread only became crumbs, not stars. So I melted some fluff and butter, added the crumbs and crispy rice cereal – voila! Spiced chocolate shortbread treats! I added a layer of melted milk chocolate on top and sprinkled with tiny sparkly edible stars!
Now to finish these boxes!
